Author's Message

As a Computing teacher, I aim to spark curiosity and support children on their learning journey. This inspired me to write a story for ages 7 - 11.

A story to assist digital literacy in an ever-evolving world of digital devices and online services. However, I didn’t want to just write any story that fits a computing tale. I needed to write a story that touches on societal challenges faced by children all over the world to raise awareness, such as access to clean water, education and safety.

Every week I will create Activity sheets to help your child learn more through the book. You can access this online for FREE by clicking on Learning.

I completed my illustrations over many months. Carefully thinking about how my illustrations will encourage children to unravel the hidden messages within the Slums of Senail.
